The Last Song

Dear Students,
I recently finished reading the book The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. I would rate this book a 10 out of 10. This book is realistic fiction. I havent seen the movie to this book yet…but im really hoping I will be able to soon.

This book had a lot of emotion in it. Some parts made me laugh, cry, mad, and tense. I really liked this book because Nicholas Sparks did a really goo job of keeping the readers attached to the story and just when I thought nothing was going to happen..BAM! All kinds of drama happens. Some parts of the book I didn’t like because of how things turned out with Ronnie (Miley Cyrus) and her boyfriend in the story Will. I also didn’t like the ending because the dad dies. Now I know what will happen in the movie, but I guess that’s a good thing too. :)

One quote in the book that really caught my attention was, “Dad, you’ve changed me. In a good way. And now the thought of you leaving this Earth, I cant bare it. Please don’t leave me like this.”. That part was at the end of the story where Ronnie’s dad was dying to stomach cancer. I really had a hard time reading that part because I tried to picture me in that situation, and if I ever lost my dad, it would be really hard for me. That was probably the most emotional part in the story. I actually cried for real, so now im a little scared to see the movie. :)

The thing I really liked about this book was the realationship between Ronnie and Will. At first, Ronnie was playing Hard-To-Get with Will. Will kept trying to figure her out, but he couldn’t. He finally convinced to go on a date with him, and they went to the aquarium which is where Will works. Ronnie saw a whole different side of Will and she really liked that. They decided to date, and they had one of the best relationships ive ever seen, or at least read about. J That was one thing that always made me want to keep reading because sometimes they would get into fights, but Will would do the best he could to try to convince Ronnie that he would do anything for her. I think more guys need to be like that. Then in the middle of the story, I saw in a magazine that Miley and Liam (Will) were actually dating in real life. That changed things for me because I wondered if Liam was like Will in real life. And if he is, Miley is a very lucky girl. :)

I would definently recommend this book to ALL girls. It has pretty much everything a book can offer. Love, drama, comedy, action, suspense, it has it all. I now am looking for to reading more books from Nicholas Sparks. He writes great love stories. I am really wanting to read his book Dear John. Even though I have already seen the movie, I really want to read the book as well. So I would recommend this book to all girls. Im pretty sure every girl would love it as much as I did. :)

Thanks for reading. :)
